How to Qualify for Section 8 in Texas

If you struggle to keep up with your rent payments each month, you may find help through your local housing authority. The housing authority issues Section 8 housing vouchers to Texas residents. These vouchers allow you to live in a private rental property at a reduced monthly rate. To qualify for Section 8, you must meet income guidelines and complete an application and formal interview.
